What are your thoughts on keep both in a 25 gallon? my candy cane never comes out but snaps a good amount. There is a decent amount of rock work but I want something way more active. Could I get away with both in a 25 gallon?

I have them both in a 65g, which admittedly does not answer your question. But in my experience a Tiger Pistol may not be more active, unless paired with a goby. I barely ever saw my Tiger Pistol before adding a Watchman Goby, now it is out and about moving tons of substrate under the watchful supervision of the goby. I hardly ever see my Candy Cane and often thought it was dead.
