Torch Coral growing?

Hi, I am new to keeping LPS corals and wanted to know if this is normal on a Torch coral.

Salinity 1.023
Cal 500 ppm
Mag 1520 ppm
Alkalinity 11 dkh
lighting two T5
Temp 80 F
pH 8.3

I just got this frag yesterday so unless this is a super growing LPS than I do not know what this is.

Please see circled in white.

Maybe a pic under whites only and better focus, sorry the pic is very blurry.

Of the hitchhikers that might be, the closest match I can think of to what I see in the photo would be either a tunicate or sponge of some sort. Doesn't really look like a cnidarian polyp to me.

Of the hitchhikers that might be, the closest match I can think of to what I see in the photo would be either a tunicate or sponge of some sort. Doesn't really look like a cnidarian polyp to me.

Yup. I'd bet tunicate to!
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
