Hello....I'm looking to lower my electricity bills a bit so looking to trade my 48" ATI dimmable 6 bulbs. Bulbs just replaced 3 weeks ago. Fixture is about two years old in excellent condition.

I'm looking to trade for 2 radions XR30 gen2 or gen3. If you are interested please let me know. Thx

Actual pictures of the fixture:

6 bulb fixture running 54 watts gives you 324 watts on your light. Each Radion G3 will use 150 watts at max setting. Honestly, the electricity savings is not really there with bulbs v. LEDs. I think the biggest savings will be in not having to buy bulbs. I run 3 Radions and I recently added a 3x54 watt supplemental T5 kit. Going from ATI, you may potentially be disappointed in SPS coloration. Although I have seen great SPS and LED tanks, I've seen many more that are still using (or have returned to using) T5.

Yea your just talking about maybe 5-8$ a month. More likely thing would be the combo of electricity savings + not having to spend 120-150$ in bulbs every year.

At 2 radions vs a 6 bulb 56w you talking about 2-250$ yr in maintaining and power a radion vs. The t5

Fwiw, my XR30 pros max out at 165 watts. Using the coral lab setting at 100%, they only put out 100 watts. Mainly because white and red end if spectrum is reduced to 24% each. I recently went up to 3 pros and estimate approx 210 watts total at current setting. 70 watts each.

Dont do it. If you are growi g sps then the yearly bulb costs is nothing. Yes, $100-$120 on bulbs cost is nothing if you do mainly sps believe me.
(I usually take advantage of black friday sale week to stock up the bulbs to save money).
Good luck.

Thanks for the advise...with all the comments/suggestions I'm now pondering on my decision lol. I love the T5s but with it being on a tank with just zoas and lps...I figure a leds would be a better choice and plus I like to look corals under royal blues actinic, blue plus does make corals pop but under leds is more intense :)

I had a few offers but people flake out, oh well...I'll keep it :)

I made those hanging brackets from a conduit, we had a yard store that sells scraps metals, these are hollow and super light weight. I think I paid $5 for the conduits and bend myself then painted white with spray paint. 30 mins of work that cost me less than $10 bucks :)

How you been Mike?

I have 2 ration g3s on a 48" tank and I'm now cramming 4 t5 retros in the cabin.

I vote keep the ati!
