Hello,

So I need to preface this by saying I’m brand new to saltwater fish, so be gentle. I just picked up a couple of clowns and a coral beauty about a week and a half ago. Got them home from the LFS and put them into the QT. After a couple of days, I notice the CB had a faint white-ish spot on its side. I had some people say it looked like Flukes, so I picked up PraziPro on Saturday and dosed the tank.FF to yesterday, and things seemed WAY worse all of a sudden. It’s eye is cloudy and bulging and has another spot on its opposite side. I was then told to do a water change and a Furan 2 treatment. So I did a 50% water change and dosed the Furan 2 last night. It’s still eating, but just looks all around nasty. I can’t tell if it’s circling the drain or just the Flukes dying off... I’m at a loss on what to do. Not to mention, I don’t want to run into problems with the other two QT inhabitants also. Any advice would be much appreciated!

So if its Flukes then a FW dip is in order, i would also get some API general Cure and start soaking food in that. API GC contains both praziquantel and metronidazole good for treating internal worms and parasites.

the dip WONT cure flukes if the fish has them, BUT it will give the fish temporary relief and buy you some more time to begin treatment

Antibiotics like Furan2 are very slow acting on fish. The usual treatment with antibiotics is 10-14 days.
