Just thought I would share my 50 Lagoon. I used to have a 125g peninsula and then downsized to a 25 lagoon. That is what got me hooked to AIO so I upgraded to a 50 Lagoon in March of this year.

IM 50 Lagoon
Dual Return - Mighty Jet Return and Jabao
VCA Random Flow Generators
Two Nero 3’s
IM DC NuvoSkim
2 caddies filled with Matrix and Rubble
1 chamber as a fuge with a Tunze Ecochic
Radion XR30 Blue
1 Orphek OR3 Blue Sky
1 Orphek OR3 Blue Plus
Apex El
Trident
Dos and DDR

I made the closet behind the tank the reef closet. Moved the ATO container in there so no there is no water where the electronics are in the stand. Also upgrade to a 15g ATO container.

Its interesting that you stuck with the AIO, I think they are great for smaller sizes. If I had the option to upgrade my lagoon 25, I would go with a larger tank and sump. I just feel restricted having to use the small chambers.

Great looking setup you have there. I have a AIO 50 gal too. I like the size of our over tank but if I were to come across an opportunity, I'd probably upgrade to a 50 gal EXT.

I honestly love the AIO’s. I don’t mind not having a sump at this size. Not to mention they are so quiet in my office where I’m on calls all day. My tower fan is louder than my tank.

I like the simplicity of the AIO. I had a large system with a sump and it was nice too but I’m all in with the AIO.
Man I would sit in front of that tank all day, fantastic setup.
I do! My desk is right next to it. Sometimes even work on it when I’m on work calls.

Very nice set up! About how long does the 15G reservoir last for your tank? Also, would the reservoir fit inside the stand if needed?
In the summer about a month, winter 3-4 weeks. It would but it would take up the majority of the stand. Since I keep my apex and electronics under there I didn’t want wanted under there.

@Trizzino How are you liking the Nero 3s? I just picked up a pair and while I am planning for SPS they don't seem to pack enough power for a 50-gallon tank without running them at 100%. At that point, I can hear the very noticeable hum and like you, I sit right next to the tank every day. Are you experiencing the same?
