Tube worm looking thing growing out of torch

Hey all,

I was decompressing infront if the tank just now and noticed what appears to be some sort of tubular worm growing off my torch. This was not there yesterday(as I need to decompress infront of my tank every night) . Any help in ID would be super appreciated.

I think that's a barnacle? I have a couple on my duncan but that guy looks big!

Def. Barnacle i had a decent size one like you have in the middle of my orange hammer. I ended up using a small syringe and sucked out the inners as it was effecting my pe on the hammer after doing that the next few days had increased pe and the hammer looks better then ever. I only suggest doing what i did if you see that it is irratating the coral if not leave it be and see where it goes. A few people have had these with no issues and had amazing growth. Wasnt the case for me.

Are you sure it's not its mouth? Euphyllia open their mouths to feed and/or during stress/acclimation.
