unwanted polyps and how to get rid of them

I have a problem with these really small polyps on my live rock they seem to want take over anthing im not sure what they are there likelightbrown and have a white center if you take the rock out of the water there is only little black specs on the rock they spread like zoos anyone have any sugestions

Are they daisy polyps or blue star polyps?

That looks like the infamous blue star polyps or blue sympodium. Next to impossible to get rid of.

Your best bet is to pull the rock out and chisel off the part with them growing. They will cover it very fast.

Looks like daisy cloves to me with a splash of bubble algae. Maybe some blue cloves as well but hard to tell with how the camera focused. Taking out the rock and replacing it is your best option. You can peel them off with a razor but if you miss any they can and probably will come back.

I have read accounts online that dosing fluke tabs will kill them. I haven't tried it myself... yet.

But not literally burn them. Search for a thread on toxins in zoas or palys.

I just read that about the toxins today. Didn't really shock me but i pretty big reality check and reminder that you should respect all things in your tank
