I was having issues with green hair algae in my tank, and didn't know what to do. One day, I was in LFS and I seen nice gem tang fish, and I decided to take it. After few days, I see green hair algae started to disappear and I was wondering how??? After I keep my eye on the tank, I have seen Gem tang fish eating green hair algae.
I am sure not many knows about this but I can confirm that Gem tang fish ate all green hair algae in my tank. you can see the difference in the pictures.
It's not fair to tell people who are struggling of green hair algae to buy such expensive fish, but maybe you can borrow it from your friend.
