I purchased a used saltwater tank/setup from Craigslist that had crushed coral as the substrate. When I set it up at my house, I decided to go with a sand substrate. All of that CC (100+ lbs) has been sitting on my back porch in Rubbermaids for about 9 months. I’m looking for possible uses for the material now that I am getting deeper into the hobby. Can It be used in a CaRx? Should I put it in my sump? Can I make homemade “live rock” structures out of it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think the best bet would be to place it in your sump or refugium if you have one to increase surface area for bacteria. It could also be a breeding ground for copepods depending on how big they are.
