I have an old maxi jet 1200 I use to pump water back into tank. Long story as to what I’m doing. But it was used for a week in a qt tank with cupermine. Am I able to use it again if I run bleach thru it and let it dry out or can it never be used again no matter what?
thanks

Plastics 'can' absorb some forms of copper, but I'd say you're good, the amounts absorbed will be negligible (if any) - I ran a pump for over a month in cupramine, then just ran it in RO for 24 hours and used it on a reef tank without any problems

TBH - you don't need to bleach it, just run it in RO and if you want to clean it just get some for grade Citric acid and run that through it

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
