That’s what I thought what if a vermatid snail got into a sponge or am I reaching at straws hereI'm not really sure. The base looks like a sponge but the coil and antennae look like something different.
How long can I take a rock out of water for?I would break it off with a pliers and discard. Any surprise could become a future nightmare.
Had a look again pretty sure they are ball tip anemones? Can see it better in blue light when they open. And no one else have a clue what that white thing is ?The thing under your frag doesn't look like a vermetid to me, but the ones I circled in red below do look like vermetids. They typically have a coil at the base and then extend a tube up from that. Small them with tweezers or bone cutters and make sure you get all the way down to the base or they'll just regrow.
Why does that sound like a problemSound like spirorbid worms, but doesn’t look like them.. I hope you find an answer soon..
