I hope you have a concrete floor - that's 3 tons+ of "ocean front" in your home. It is a beauty, Kudos!
Living room and in fact entire front of my home was an addition and is concrete otherwise NO way

Thank you Captain !! You have no clue what game plan I have for this beast as I am done with Base rock. Have 180# of pure Pukani rock on its' way and I'm going to all Orphek atlantic lighting along with my Kessils A700. A am also adding two more Icecap 3 Gyres to the center for added water flow.
I Promise many pics and will do so from the time the tank arrives in my driveway until it is fully set up and running.

Man, I just wish I was close enough to come to join in on the fun!

It would be an epic tale if some 'close by' members could come help as well as your club. ;)

The way I look, it would not a whole lot of effort to arrange that- just a matter of if timing is good or not for them

Your math is fantastic. I came up with a guess of 4.5. Thank goodness for concrete flooring in that very location I'm placing it

Nah, heavy but not that heavy. Figure 600 net gallons at 8.4 lbs. per plus wight of tank, stand and rock/sand being heavier than the water it displaces and you’re somewhere between 3 and 3 1/2 short tons.

The safe part is , if even wood floor, the weight is distributed evenly along ten feet of floor as long as it is level

Yeah, but the problem is still deflection. Most people think in terms of floor collapse, but deflection is much more likely to be the cause of very large tank failures. You either need to put something like that directly on a slab or have non compressible struts directly down to the slab (jack posts as examples). My 450 sits on a first floor, but has cinder block and jack posts underneath the middle and all corners it so that the floor moves not a millimeter.

Explains why this fellow had a 1" thick plywood base under the stand for avoidance of any shifting?

Certainly possible. As long as you’re on a slab, no problem. I’d never put 2 plus tons on any wood floor that didn’t have direct support down to a slab. That looks like a really nice tank. Wish I could have gone 48” front to back, but no way to reach the back and Kareem Abdul Jabbar isn’t one of my neighbors.

Let me know when you'll be setting things up. I'm not too far (about 2 hours) and may take a ride up to help out.

That would be wonderful and I plan on catering out broasted chicken and pizza for my helpers

Um, I'm not sure but I think you'll garner much more help if you advertise, "FREE COLD BEER!" In the small print you'll have to put that beer commences at the completion of all work. Lol

SHIPPING LINED UP !!!

NO TURNING BACK NOW. IT IS SO BIG THAT I HAVE TO HIRE SOMEONE TO REMOVE THE PATIO DOORS TO GET THE STAND AND TANK TO CLEAR AS IT IS BIGGER THAN MY DOOR FRAME.
