Hey there! I recently switch my dosing for alk from Soda Ash to Sodium bicarbonate. Do I need to adjust my dose (ml/day) to achieve the same DKH in the tank? I just kept dosing 15ml per day the same as the calcium but now my Alk reading is super low so I'm wondering what's going on? Any advice is much appreciated

The recipe for soda ash is double the alk potency than baking soda.

Double the amount of mL you dosed of soda ash for the baking soda to match the same dKH of alkalinity added.

Beware that you might need slightly less than double of baking soda since the pH has a slight decrease instead of a large pH increase from the soda ash. A higher pH is a large predictor of alk demand. :)
