Weird being in my tank

I have this weird creature on my power head so I glued it on a frag block. Is it a sponge or algae? It folds like a brain, feels like a cabbage not enclosing fluid like bubble algae.

Huh. Weird. I'd be inclined to think dying clump of a bubble algae relative, or something similar, but it's a weird color.

Could it be a form of sea lettuce?
