Well Water Analysis Results, How Does YOUR Water Compare?

So I sent in some samples of the well water at the house I'm about to move into. The company is Simple Lab, which is the lab used by the Clean Water Store which specializes in home water filtration systems, so factor that bias in. This water was straight from the ground, through new plumbing and a water softener. No filtration.

I'm not wild about the heavy metal levels, but they're lower than average for my state/area, and lower than the levels found in bottled water (according to them), so I guess that's good?

Also, TDS almost 650!

How do these numbers compare to ICP testing others here have done? I should send one to an ICP company.

FYI, it has substantially more alkalinity than your tank water, so don't use it untreated to make new salt water.

Copper is also fairly substantial, at 9 ppb.

I won't be. I have a 7-stage RODI filter I'm installing. Sediment filter, 2 carbon blocks, 2 RO filters, separate cation and anion DI canisters, and a mixed-bed DI canister. That will come after the whole-house sulphur filter I'm installing to address smelly water.

I assume that filtration will take care of the heavy metals and copper?

What could be causing the anion bed to deplete SO rapidly?

Carbon dioxide in the well water.
