I got new lights and all of a sudden I see new things in my saltwater tank! Can you please help?

1. worm,(Polycirrus), harmless
2. and 3. Sponge, generally harmless unless they get out of hand and die off en masse.

Your welcome. Likes are appreciated.

Do they move? Look like pods...
They swim. I thought they may be pods. I’m planning to add dry rock into my tank. Should I place the dry rock under the live rock that I’ve had for years? Obviously, I have lots of questions... and first time on forums

i have a “small” 55g tank. Approaching retirement, and a single woman means I need to keep it somewhat low key. I do have 3 engineer gobies that are each about a foot long. I have other fish too but the grandkids love to watch the gobies dart in and out of rocks. I have a bashful blenny. He’s really cool but hard to find at times. I have a tomato clown that can be a butt head! Question about what is on live rock. Is the stuff growing on rock healthy?

Well, you posted in the "Meet The Reef Squad Team". You need to create a thread introducing yourself in the general Meet and Greet Forum. That thread is there just to have you get to know the team not us to get to know you.

As far as the critter in the photo on that post with your clown, Aiptasia. Bad. Superglue over it ASAP. It can take over and cause some serious damage.

The stuff on your rocks in this post with the gobie.... Is it fuzzy or hard?

I’ll get back to you on whether or not purple stuff is hard. Just did water change and the fish are all stirred up so I’ll leave them alone for now
