What is this growing in-between my Zoa?

So recently brought this space queen Zoa but recently noticed one of the heads doesn't open all the way almost as if its being squished. It looks white and feels hard and is really small.

I see what you are talking about, I don't know what it is. But if you believe it is causing your zoas not to open, I would pick it out of there. Could be burrowing into the zoa.

I would want to try but I don't want to risk damaging the other zoa heads surrounding it at the sametime. How resilient are these things im new to coral and don't want to end up killing it.
