What is this on my coral?

Hi guys,
I just bought this golden clove
Once i put it inside my tank, i notice something dangling out from its body.
Initially short but it can extend so long maybe up to 1.5 inches.
Is it a parasite?
Do i need to worry?
If yes, how to remove it?

Please help

Digitate hydroid. Probably best to scrap it off.
