So have had added a few fish the past week and added some pods yesterday. Noticed this guy in the glass. Not sure what it is.

I need to get a macro lens.

Hard to tell. Does it have a shell? Looks like a baby trochus perhaps if so.

It looks to me like it is some kind of snail, but I cannot really tell from the picutre. Does it move around the tank or is it stationary?

They move around. I have noticed a few in different spots then they are gone and in another spot.

hard to tell on the shell part. But looks like it had antennas.

I would say yes a wrasse would eat them. The snails are in fact good though. Hell, I have millions, ok maybe thousands, seriously. Their population comes and goes depending on my maintenance habits; removing their food sources. In my experience they pose no threat other than visual.

Ok, so at what point do you consider these colonista snails a bad thing, like plague proportions? I have hundreds of them all over everything in my tank when lights go down. They don't seem to be helping my algae problem at all, and in fact are now leaving green spots on my glass where they were. Attaching pix. Please excuse my dirty tank and the flakes flying around. I forgot to feed earlier and turned lights on to toss in some flakes.
