Got any wrasses in there? If so just crack it at the base. If not glue the tip shut the vermetid will die inside
I had a sixline and it decided to dip, he didnt touch it. I went in with suture scissors (Im a nurse) and I cut it and then a small piece of the base (looked fleshy) went to the bottom of the tank and my nass snail ate it. I'm waiting for a top to get another wrasse. I hope It doesnt multiply

They’re a pain in the butt for sure but not such a big deal tho tbh
