hydroids i think. Is this a new tank? I have seen these things when starting a tank, they tend to go away after few weeks

Hydroids. They should disappear eventually. The last couple pics are the hydroid's medusa form (pretty much a jellyfish)

They do sting but they shouldn't cause damage. Your snails will run into them, get a little freaked out, and move around them. If you don't like them you can always suck em out (Personally I like the weird stuff and keep a spare 10 gallon for all the hitchhikers I find)
