What kind of algae is this I am not familiar with this one. It is a newer setup system, 3 months of so. I know it is mostly because tank is sorting itself out. I just want to not let it get out of control.

No it was never green. Has gotten worse in past 48 hours while I was away. The never green part is what is confusing me.

Also I have not added any bottle additives to the system. I have only done a few 20% water changes since it has cycled. I have been trying to just let tank work itself out and find its balance.

I had the same **** I think it's fungal I used brightwell razor with water changes and it cleaned all of it up over about 2 weeks

have not came up with a real answer or cause for this white slime. who has a remidy to get rid of it?

looks like sea squirts to me, maybe @ISpeakForTheSeas can help
Not sea squirts this time - I'm leaning toward some type of Chrysophyte too at this point, as it looks too solid in places to be a bacterial mat.

OP, any chance you get pic some microscope pics of this stuff? Being able to see the cells of it may help get a proper ID.

I am going to try and put some under a microscope tomorrow
