I found this snail in my tank after about 8 months of having my tank and I have watched it grow since it was a tiny baby now that it's big and I still can't figure out what it is. I have 3 zombie snails, 3 margarita snails, and two conchs. It looks similar to a zombie snail (nassarius snail) but has different coloring, patterns, and behavior. She has a really dark coloring compared to my zombie snails (all light gray colored), striped patterns, has stayed this size for about 2 months, and doesn't like to stay in the sand like my other zombie snails instead she is always on the glass of the tank. I have never once seen her buried in the sand like my other zombie snails. Does anyone know what she could be?

I would need a closer picture of the snouts of the snails. They look like whelks. But I can't confirm that.

Thank you for sending me these images. After looking through these images for a while I stumbled across a snail called a dove snail! And it looks almost identical to the snail in my tank so that’s what I’m leaning towards now‍♀️

So after using the images above sent by KJ I stumbled across Welk and Dove snails. I’m stuck between the two. Here’s lots of pictures of the snout. If this doesn’t help then please let me know and I’ll be happy to take different pictures!

It's not a whelk for sure.
Just asking about size because it reminds of a fighting conch. I never seen one climb glass though.
This picture has me second guessing myself. Nassarius or a conch. I still lean toward nassarius.

After much conflict and debate with myself. I am saying it's a fighting conch.
Keep an eye on it. It shouldn't be a predator. But either an algae eater or a detritivore.

This isn't my picture. If your snail looks like this guy, its a columbellid. A dove snail, but you said yours is near an inch, these don't get bigger than .3 inches.
