What's wrong with this clown?

I saw this Clownfish at an lfs today. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with it? It looks like his outer skin is missing except for near and around his head.

That's a special breed of clown fish that is born that way. This is usually expensive for clowns with crazy color patterns

are you talking about the coloration? I believe its a Gold nugget Maroon clownfish with a mutation in coloring which makes them more desirable.

Nothing is wrong with it. Breeders are attempting to cross breed different types of clowns trying to get an all white clown. They are selling as designer clowns. I personally don't care for the look... but others find it highly desirable.

I actually only like the mostly white varieties. Most of the others don't do much for me. Just my .02. Not sure I'd pay for a designer clown, anyway. But many will and do!

my LFS has had a pair of those long fin clowns for a LONG time. he was asking 300 for the pair and recently dropped to 250 for the pair. I personally do not like how the long fins look.

Horses for courses. I'm sure somebody will buy them but they just don't look natural at all, I wouldn't have one given!

They look like Harry Potter Dementors to me! Too ragged looking for my taste.
