White sponge?

I moved the rock that had two manjove anemones on it out of the tank yesterday to find this underneath on another rock. Any idea what kind of sponge it is?

Going to need a more focused image.

Based on what I see it may be a soft coral.

It has tiny little polyps that come out of what appear to be holes all over it and retract when bothered.

Looks deathly, though. Maybe feeding it would help? And maybe moving it to a lower light area if you can, too

I can't lover it because of the rock it's on but will try to feed it, since no food has been introduced to the tank yet it hasn't been fed in weeks.

It has food. Nitrates and phosphates plus particulates.
Not a 100% yet id but, I could be an NPS too. Or it could color up.

Very true. so here's where I'm curious now this was also covered by a pinkish film like my other white surprise yet to be identified but looks completely different. It's taking some time for the film to disintegrate or break apart but this is the second one on this rock that has appeared from under this pink stuff but there's a third spot that has this film that has yet to open up. So now I wonder if there's something there to.

When the polyps retract it's flat with a bunch of holes...polyps look the same to me...

It's a ball shape mainly, I did anchor a rock right in the spot it's flat not knowing it was there. Since it was covered by this stuff.

Odd looking...I happened to just catch my emerald crab molesting my coral so here it is sucked in, pretty different...

It looks very similar to that with all the little holes when it's closed up. What is that exactly?

I believe it is a toadstool leather...it was given to me by a doctor when I was working on his home alarm! Very nice guy...

Awesome thanks, that might be what the other one I have is also, it's starting to appear more like a mushroom as it's growing.

I figured I'd give a update on this, so if you scroll up you will see a pic of a white coral like creature when i found it. Here's what it looks like today still not 100% sure what it is exactly but it has grown well.
