Purple tang now has a white spot. Pictures aren’t that great. It does have HLLE so those grey areas on face and dorsal areas have been there. There is a large white spot on left side of body that is new.

I recently had a clown fish quickly and a mystery and I have a clownfish in QT for observation with no diagnosis yet. See this thread for clownfish https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/dead-clownfish-help-id.1003138/post-11671235

Should I put purple tang into QT with clownfish?

Now I am thinking that when I sand vaccumed cyano and gunk out, I disturbed the sand bed and kicked up some nasties and dressed everyone out.

Can be a nick from object, a grain of sand and even a mucus spot from skin irritation. Normally if problematic, it can or will multiply. Keep an eye on it for any change such as increase in size or C appearance as well as infection
Assure good water quality and diet is provided

Multiple threads on the same tank at the same time becomes really confusing. I’m juggling so many threads that I really need to have everything in one place.
This spot is too large to be ich. It could be Lymphocytis, a minor viral disease, but the location on the body isn’t typical for that. More likely, this is just a minor scrape injury….

Thanks, I’ll keep monitoring. Noted on the multiple threads.

Doesn’t the purple tang have something around his eyes? HLLE?

Yes - the OP mentioned it has HLLE. Since that is really not treatable and non-fatal, I was looking for other issues.

White spot appears to have gone away. I’ll check again after work when lights are on.

What sorts of things come and go like that?

To me, that just means that your purple has a strong enough immune system to fight off problems that perhaps came from minor cuts & scraps.

A mucus plug can come and go, Lymphocystis can come and go, injuries can heal. Ich (though this doesn't look like Ich) - can come and go but there is usually more than 1 spot.

Many things can come and go on fish: mucus spots, detritus from the tank and even ich does that. The trick is to keep a close eye on the fish and watch for any returning issues.
