What is this thing in a hole going in and out every 10 seconds showing those white follicles. It is in a new gold torch frag. I replaced the frag plug with rubble rock. Glued the frag to the rock and this thing keep popping out.

It does have a little casing of one. Should I not worry about it. Just a filter feeder right?

It should wave like four fingers pulling stuff in. And yes. fine, it not too likely to live long

Personally I like stuff like that more than the coral they come in on.

agreed, I wouldn't worry. I can never keep them alive long term. I get sad when I stop seeing the wavy hand, lol!

Pic does it no justice.
What is that pink coral? Dude gave it to me for free when I got the torch.
And thank you both for the quick response about the ID. Much appreciated!

I don't see a mouth like spot opening and closing. Just the strands coming out. Not spreading wide. Then going back in

It's a little different type of barnacle. It's a "Coral barnacle"... a Pyrgomatid.
