Why is this site so slow on the main page?

SSheesh, it takes forever to navigate around it. when you get into the topics it's fine, the opening page is murder. it makes me avoid this site most times. too bad cause it's a great site, but the opening pages are ridiculously slooooooooooow and choppy.

I've noticed the site loads slow at work using IE, but loads perfectly fine at home using Mozilla.. I donno if its my work or IE... Great site though, dont get discouraged....

i have the same problem when i click on forums. it takes about 10 sec to load befor you can navigate. using IE 8

I use IE7 at work and i've never had any problems and our internet sucks because of the proxy servers.

I just upgraded to IE 9 and still have same issue. It is only when clicking on Forum at the top. I usually come to the site via new posts so not that big of deal for me.

its a little faster. but what i notice in firefox. is that at the bottom of my browser it says transferring data from (all spoonsors) It looks like loading the sponsors forum pics might be slowing it down

Do you have your cookies enabled? Should really only take a while to load the very first time.

That being said I will work to make R2R faster I promise.

definitely loads faster the second time.
firefox wins by about 7 seconds or so. Its not as bad as some sites with those crazy wicked busy servers.:angel:

just one of the many reasons i have moved over here
