I just got a sea hair yesterday from LFS to help with my green turf algae. This morning I found a medium sized hermit crab eating him. My question is will hermit crabs hunt and kill a live sea hair or did my sea hair just dye and was the hermit crab just doing his clean up duties. The reason I ask is if they don’t hunt and kill them i will try to get another sea hair to eat the green turf algae.

I never had an issue but I only had one. Could have been the crabs that got him.
You can always use "Vibrant Aquarium Cleaner for Marine" instead. It worked for me when I had an issue.
