I'd love to breed these. But 10,000 for two? I hope these become available more to us hobbyist.

The first auction ended at $6100. It looks like the same person that won the first auction is leading this on as well. If he wins both he will be one of two people with a pair of lightening maroons.

"I bought fish"
Haha if I had that much money that I could drop 12 Gs on two fish I'd have a tank of just gem tangs

perfect water quality, temperature, and flow are the keys to breeding clowns. a swing in temp this way or that and you get birth defects.

I don't think many are coming out with the pattern they want.. What is funny is the other two that are up there are getting a pretty good price too and they look like a normal maroon clown pretty much.

As for the lesser expensive ones, people are more than likely paying for the gene pool, not the pattern of the exact fish being sold.

this. They are not a "normal maroon" clown.

I know that but they dont have the markings which makes it even a smaller chance thier offspring will..

There will be more comming down the road.

He will be one of 3 people with a pair not including all the ones the breeder has left. I live in the same city as Matt and have see them in person and they are very cool

I think that is just crazy, but if you got more money than you know what to do with and designer clowns are your thing who am I to say $10,000....sorry $10,100 is too much.

Correction $10,520, but what's another $420 right?
