I transfered from a 30 shallow to an 80 shallow...moved over all my rock etc and added a few large pieces of dry rock I purchased... unused dry rock..

2 weeks later the new rock... only the new rock in high light areas has what I think is bryopsis...

If in fact bryopsis, what are my options?

Pull the infected rock and toss it? Start over with live rock from somewhere?

Peroxide spot treatment? There are no corals in the area...

Again only on half the rock in the tank, but it's a big half haha..

Other options? (Not going the Kent M route)...

I saw you don't want to go kent so I guess will have to scrub but it will continue to come back. Very tough algae!! I fought for a while but decided on kent and was gone in few weeks.

Gonna try the Kent I guess as I have noticed a few more.patches... all on the new rock though... none on my established rock... I have also had a few folks say it doesn't really look like bryopsis...

I'm pretty bummed about it... Tank looks good, only on the new rock I added...and has grown entirely in 2 weeks... gonna try the Kent tech m I guess...

Couple more pics showing the feathered ends...

take out the new rock and replace it, or do the tech m in a separate tank with the rock in it

i lost a lot of inverts with the tech m but also lost the bryopsis. if you choose to keep the rock be patient and vigilant.
