new to the reef/new to a reef build

Hello. Iv started my journey into saltwater this last summer. Iv had FW since i was about 5 i loved having fish. Fast forward 10 yrs i started to get away from tetras and platys and into cichlids and Oscars. Fast forward another 10yrs i was starting to get bored with the FW aquarium hobby but scared to take the leap onto the big bad saltwater tanks. Last summer i ended up landing my dream job and started up a nano reef. A fluval spec v with powerhead elite led lighting and a digital heater. Love it. I have two chromis two snails and a cleaner shrimp. Im in the process of building a 30g with in-tank filter/sump. iv been playing around with some sheets of plexiglass i bought from home depot. But cant make up my mind on where to place it in my tank without cutting down on to much of the display glass. Any suggestions would be sweet... thanks

*Welcome to the forum!* Have you thought of putting your plexiglass at a angle and making a triangular shaped filter area? It would be tricky to clean but you would have a fuller view.
