I'll probably get mine this summer. I'll let the Deltec AP701 work a little bit longer before I retire it.

That ap701 is still a nice skimmer that would be one heck of a skimmer to have as a backup if need be or even to run ozone on.

I think I may sell it. ATB tech/sales department is superb I hear! Not a ozone guy but would be nice to keep around. I think after the new ATB comes in it will go up on the boards.

There customer service is top notch I emailed them questions and got responses in minutes. Even sent them just a simple thank you email last night and couldn't believe it but got a response within the hour. Most companies would have been I'll get to that on Monday.

Added more rock tonight when I got back in town and starting the long process of filling. Hopefully in a couple days I can turn the pumps on and add salt. Let me know what you guys/gals think of the rock scape now that I added another 50lbs.

Should have plenty of room to add sps and a few lps corals and tons of sand bed room for my favias and chalices. Might even try another clam tried to leave my options open for anything coral wise with the rock placement and sand bed room.

Beautiful set up bud! I am currently building the same tank & stand to a tee! I also got it from a fellow local reefer! Just wanted to say really like your scape ! Plenty of room for Clams, Ricordeas etc... What kind of substrate did you go with & how many lbs. sand & rock you end up using?... If you don't mind me asking?

Thank you for the kind words I ended up with using 100lbs of dry rock and so far 40lbs of dry sand. I have more on the way. Really liking the 150dd except for the stand it has been a pain for a big fat guy to fit under to do the plumbing and hiding wires and such. Lol what kind of skimmer is that you have under yours and what size sump is that I found to get anything of any size I had to go custom but yours looks awful big.

Falconerr... Thanks for the info on Rock & sand, helped a lot! As for the sump its around 32 gallons ( 30 x 18 x 17 ) & I have it shoved all the way upper left hand corner & next to it I have a 20 gallon auto top off glass tank. I'm going to run the Vertex 150 Skimmer! Picked it up on Black Friday from my LFS for $250... Normally runs $400+, man let me tell you this thing is a beast, makes most skimmers feel like mere toys! I sure feel your pain on space under the hood, but hopefully it will get the job done! I'f I find I absolutely need more water volume I will probably drill down & put a basement sump. I was also wondering what kind of substrate / sand you used? I'm not a big proponent of deep sand beds or crushed coral so I have 30 lbs. of Bermuda Pink, but sounds like I will need a bit more. What you got?
