I've been seeing tons of tank build threads around and I've been wanting to make one.
The thing is my tank is a year old and I wanted to start a build thread from scratch.
But that's not happening for a few years. So since everyone is doing it here's my build thread!

My tank is a year old and pretty well stocked but not finished.
In terms of fish though, my tank is filled up.
Fish:
2 Percula Clowns
Six Line Wrasse
Yellow Wrasse
Flame Angelfish
Diamond Goby
Lawnmower Blenny
Yellow Tang (Calm yourselves tang police)

Inverts:
2 RBTAs
Tube Anemone
Scarlet Shrimp
Banded Shrimp
2 Feather Dusters
2 Long Spine Urchins
Cryptoplax Larvaeformis (Awesome Hitch Hiker)
Some Sort of Chiton

My tank has a variety of corals but I plan on going SPS dominant when I set up my sump.

Well I hope you follow along and enjoy my tank.
Felix and Jack wish you a good day!

Looking good. I like the variety. And the green cheek. My wife and I have a turquoise.

Clownfish Hosting Anemone!

So I've had my clownfish for a year and this anemone for a few months. And they have never shown any notice towards it. It was actually infuriating.
They have killed many euphyllia heads and killed a whole colony of frogspawn by hosting them. The corallites on these corals are sharp and clownfish like to press agains the polyps.
So what happens is the skeleton cuts the coral and it gets an infection.

To day I finally got my clownfish into the anemone permanently.

They favoured a particular torch, and so did I. I kept on moving it around in hopes the clownfish wouldn't find it. No luck.
So then I put it next to the anemone. Nothing happened for the first few weeks, but then one day I saw my clowns in the RBTA!
They'd keep jumping from torch to anemone, but have finally stopped! Now I can sleep peacefully.

Anemone Division

Today my nem split and now I have three. It has been half a month since my last split. Seriously this is awesome! Soon I'll be selling clones after my anemone garden becomes jam packed with pink waving tentacles.

I'm really loving the growth I'm getting from these anemones, and I hope it continues!
Enjoy your reef!
Felix wishes you a good day.

Here's a little pic of my zoa garden, in hopes that this thread doesn't die out.

Oooo are you going for a zoa dominated or just softies in general
Actually, I'm saving lots of room for some sps. I plan on it being a mixed reef. But I can see it as a zoa dominant tank.
Still, I love acros, just as much as I love zoas. So those will be the main focus in this tank.
Once I upgrade, this tank will become an anemone tank, filled to the brim with RBTA's.

Just got some beautiful new zoas! I'll post a pic when they open up.

A rock covered in around 150-200 alien eyes and another type of zoanthid that I can't ID $100
A frag of about 10 lunar eclipse (I think) zoanthids $25

I really lucked out on the lunar eclipse zoas, they were stunning and really glowed. People were looking around the frag tank, and it was barely opening so we payed for it. I needed to go to my music lessons and when I got back in half an hour they were all opened and were a BEAUTIFUL orange!

I see that you have some nice frags on the sand bed, I also read that you have a diamond goby. Do you find the goby covering these frags with sand? I know they don't swim up into the water column that much with the sand, but I know they really move it around.

Thanks. And yeah, my diamond goby is always covering my frags lol, at least he's not building sand hills like he used to.

Very cool! Awesome pics!
Thanks! I'm really trying to get good shots but iphones don't respond well to blue light.
