Thanks everyone! They are doing pretty well so far! They both ate last night when I fed them and this morning. I love the sound of snicking seahorses!! :)

Just like the slogan for fusejaw, "it's all about the snick" LOL

I always wanted to do sea horses. Are there any species that I can get atleast a pair into a 20h. The 20 is plumbed into my main sump. Obviously I would have to move the few fish in there. Will all sea horses eat frozen mysis. What is the temp they should be kept at.

A pair would be a bit crowded in a 20H, a 30H would be better. The temperature should be under 74 degrees to inhibit bacteria. Most captive bred seahorses will eat frozen mysis and also tend to do much better in aquariums than wild caught seahorses.

The problem with higher temps is that bacteria, such as vibrio, can reproduce very quickly. The seahorses can succumb to the bacteria very quickly.

They are doing great!! They seem to have settled in pretty good. The female likes to be a pain when it comes to feeding. She only would eat a teeny bit when I got her. Now, I have learned that I have to aim the food toward her at the perfect angle. The male on the other hand chases the food down. Both are not interested in a feeding dish or eating from a baster.

Thank you!

I really am very excited with these seahorses. They are very active and seem to be settling in quite well. :)

Woohoo!! The seahorses survived my first weekend trip away from my house!! :) I did have someone come over once a day to feed them and it was just two days, but it still had me nervous.

Another step in the right direction, the seahorses are eating directly from the turkey baster. The down side is that the feedings take a bit longer. I don't mind that one bit.
