Reef Cleaners has true Peps.
Thanks. I will keep that in mind if there is another aiptasia infestation, which I really hope does not happen again.

Yup, hence my hesitation. I only have 3 right now that I can see, but I'm sure there are aiptasia in areas I can't get to that are spreading them around when I'm not looking. I might try some Berghia with the Dinkins GC if they get any, but seems too risky to drop cash on them with the Halichoeres chrysus and the leopard--not to mention the pinkies that might like a nibble.
I had one in the 70 and hit it with boiling water and it became no more but I had 1 new one show up elsewhere in the tank. My Peppermint Shrimp from Reef Cleaners took it out in 2 days.

Berghia will likely become snacks for the Chrysus. I'm not sure if my Leucoxanthus or Melanurus ate mine but Aiptasia were going away and then they stopped going away.

Yeah, that is what I first wanted to do. Upon doing further research, getting real peps are difficult. I don't trust either of my LFS and I don't know who to trust on line. The the infestation got worse so I pulled the trigger and got nudibranchs from Dinkins. Thanks to @JoJosReef (I think he said it) for making me aware of the 50 dollar gift card giveaway!
Just got some with mine. Was on the fence, but just looked in the back of the AIO and found 5 more...

I'm going to give it a try and put the bergs in at night. See if they can make it!

Yeah I read/heard about the differences but went into my petco one day and they had a bunch. They have never had them before so I decided it was meant to be. I didn't know one from another if you showed me lol but took the chance and bought 2.

I've always had good luck from Petco with Peppermint Shrimp.

Tank was feeling a bit drab so I did a 15 gallon change and tested alk.

Not bad for me I'm sure the IO helped.
Still a little low so I added 1/2 cup straight alkalinity from ME Coral.

How super groovy is that! ;) :star-struck:

wow that's great Joel, I have to get ready for the salt thing again, it coincided with what happened and I had left that behind

I am going to ask a question you may not know the answer too, but I am so eager to get this aiptasia out if my tank. About how long would it take for a starting number of 3 berghia nudibranch to get rid of my aiptasia infestation?

It usually takes two or three generations before the tank is completely cleared . Of course it depends on the amount of the infestations.

My favorites, in order: Paris == Vienna, Miami, Nicaragua, Cioccolatino. So help me, if I get one of those coconut-flavored ones, I'm putting your desk in the basement!

Wait, do I have any authority to do that?
It’s an intern perk!

Got to hotel an hour ago - unpacked, shower, room service!

I am officially on a vacation!!

The TSA guys picked me up from airport- so sweet.

I’ll get over to my giveaway thread tomorrow night and add all the stuff happening!

Thanks, that's awesome, looking into this right now! I lost my fairy wrasse through the screen a couple months ago and looking into smaller screens or acrylic lids before I get any more wrasses.
I love my Toplids lid - wasn’t cheap but with wrasses, had to be ultra careful- and the filefish I’m bringing home are tiny!
