Cool, I'll be following this. I'm contemplating exact same tank (or the 120) so have been checking out aquascapes for the shallow builds.
I reworked the scape a little and will post pics later today. So far I'm loving it. I would have liked the extra volume of the 120 but the shallow look just takes it for me. I may also be combining in a 40 gallon plumbed into the same system as a display fuge.

Well I finally got the Skimmer set up and almost have ozone connected as well.

A white tail bristle tooth tang finished up in my qt and is loving the new home.

I have some quarantined CUC on the way that will go in next week from @Inverted Reef! Can’t wait to get those guys in here.

Some corals that made the move from the 32 gallon are doing good as well. My hammer is puffing up more than ever and looking really happy.

The white dot is on the glass not the tang! Just fyi. I freaked out for a few after taking the photo lol.

So I added a larger CUC this week from @Inverted Reef and added a CO2 scrubber. The tank is running nice and stable. I’ll be hooking up my KH Keeper pro tonight along with a reef factory dosing pump.

The tank is not as brown as it looks in the pics, that was with only room lights on as I was adding the CUC.

I’m amazing how well the UV sterilizer controlled early algae blooms. Started running Ozone last weekend in my skimmer and the water is practically invisible with very little ozone injection.

Got a great deal on two more G5 XR15 so I changed the lighting up a little! I think I want a Blade grow as well across the front eventually.

Nice! I ran 4 15 blues on my 80. I added a quanta bar and it gave me another 75 par on average.

Well the tank is approaching almost two months old and it’s really doing well. It was mostly an insta cycle tank with all live rock live sand and some transferred corals.

For my first bit of SPS in there, some ORA birds of paradise as a bit of a tester for the tank. Very excited to get more going over the next few months.

I added a KH keeper plus and a Reef factory dosing pump x3 but will also be adding a kalk reactor for the PH boost and using the two part to fine tune it. More photos coming soon.

Not a great shot but a pic of some of the fish.

The little Yellow Biota tank (Tom) is growing really fast! It’s fun to watch him follow my copper Band around like a little brother.

Thank you! I am loving it. I am wishing that I didn’t go so high with the rock scape though. As things grow out I’m going to run out of vertical room quick.

I am in the process of thinking about aquascaping and I am thinking about doing one large island and one smaller island and a gyre power head for better flow and also going Barebottom
And T5 for lighting 48x8 build
