Hi
I really wanted to get a 'mated' pair (or at least a happy with each other pair) of aiptaisia eating files. If i get 2 randomly, not paired, will one beat the other up? I'm thinking yes
TIA

IME, AEF will fight/show aggression if they are M/M. I have no experience with females together, but have seen them kept together for short times in my good friend's LFS without an issue. Obviously, every fish is different. I would definitely go the extra mile/buck for a mated pair if you're really set on it. 2 same sex/heterospecific should be okay if you have a pretty large tank though. What size do you have?

I have two in my 120 and they were put in together. I have not seen any aggression and they hang out together quite often.

Congratulations! I would bet that they get along great. I haven’t ordered from Blue Zoo in quite awhile, but I always received quality stuff. I got mine direct from Biota. Keep us updated:)!

Yes I'm really happy with this order. Fish are size as advertised and very healthy
