Looking to add a dual DI stage to my RODI system. Anybody test spectrapure's maxcap DI resins compared to BRS mixed bed resin on longevity? The SP dual DI is on sale for $102 at marineandreef (144$ at SP main site for some reason?) versus $82 dual stage DI addon from BRS.

I live 15 minutes from spectrapure and am very familiar with their units. I get longer life out of the spectrapure maxcap units than any mixed bed DI I have tried. But, I have never tried out the BRS pro series resins. The maxcap is basically Anion resin followed by Cation resin and the Silica Buster is a little bit of color-changing anion followed by a mixed bed. In theory, you could replicate this load out with BRS pro series resins but I would have to keep 4 different bulk resins on hand and I really like being able to simply pop in the new cartridges and not have to store 4 bags of resin in an air tight manner.
