You had raised some concern over there not being any seal on the container. The seal can at times get stuck on the cap itself. As long as the container is moist when opening for the first time, the product is still okay to use.

  • Expiration is 1 year from the moment you first open the container

I’m running dvh po4x4 for 2 weeks. Is it good to use bacto reef ball as well?

It certainly wouldn't hurt. :)

The amount of BRB you will need for your tank will depend on your current NO3 and PO4 levels.
