You may have here what is known as a mocha clown. If true, it is going through a color phase as a few of mine have done and becomes more chocolate in appearance. It does not looks like stings or disease
I would say no. I would say - however, with the clowns available, anything is possible. I would be more concerned with possible coral , anemone, etc injury causing the darkening.This clownfish is fully mature, will they still randomly change color as adults? Also, this is a percula clownfish, do they have a mocha variant as well?
