I am having water evaporate out of my tank which I know is normal but don't have an RO system yet but buy it at the Lfs and was curious if I buy 5-10 gal can I keep it in the bucket until ready to use it? Like a week or two?

Water will absorb impurities from the air. I would get a container you can seal.

I guess this is even true with my RO reservoir…I just have a 2.5g tank in my stand. Cleaned it out last week because it was dirty, can't believe I didn't think of covering it haha

My 5gal buckets from Home Depot have lids, but I have found they break easily. I need to get another salt bucket because that seals very well

Lowes has food grade BPA free 5 gal buckets that I've used before. My lfs sells 5 gal jugs with a lid that I use for my ATO on my nano. The opening is the perfect size for the Tunze ATO pump to fit into. My .02
