ive used a razor blade to scrape the foot free from rocks before with no ill effects, but you have to be very, very careful.

I would work around it and leave it

Its my largest and Really nice clam..but it positioned itself away from view on frt glass...so i would also like to move it to see it better!

+1 to the razor blade. We used to have to when I worked for a fish store. If a customer wanted it, it had to go and go right then. Just gently cut the "feet" off the bottom and you should be good to go. No ill effects should come of it. Good luck, Mark

Ed - razor blade it up. It'll be fine.

I "sterilize" my razor blades with isopropal alcohol to get the oils off first though.

With this in mind I have a small clam I put on a large flat
rock so it would attach to the rock and not the tank bottom.

I then piled some sand around it to hold it in place until it attached

It seemed to work out OK

I know this idea can work with BTA's but what about putting a cold pack on the underside of the glass? That is if its on the bottom glass..
