I originally acquired these at Macna in Atlantic city NJ. I have hundreds now, and they have never melted. They love lots of flow and med-high light. This MC is under LED's...

I picked up a 3 polyp frag today of what the LFS called an orange darth maul. I hope these don't melt on me.
I placed them med current/ med light under LED's, we'll see what happens?

I have heard they are melters also. But they always did good for me. Mine are under led and have always been at the bottom of the tank. They seem to like the lower light area with good flow

I have always wanted to pick these up, just not a fan of how much they are, and how often they melt.

Those have that orange look like the ones I picked up today.

Kinda crummy cell phone pic. They look really red in person except the ones that grow around the side of the rock out of the light- those ones also lose a lot of the red pigment all together

I tried them a few times also but they always melted.

THese were mine, high light made them turn all red and low light black
