well the mushroom moved in to its territory
He didn't read the rules posted in the neighborhood then! He messed around and found out.

Hope the mushroom will end up OK, but I've read of individual stings wiping colonies out. They seem to be pretty nasty corals when it comes to their sweepers

Yep. You have to give them plenty of room. This is mine and I've seen them longer than this

Woah! I have a hollywood stunner and I keep looking for those but havnt seen them yet! Will they sting other chalices?

The pectinia is not prejudice, it will sting anything within reach.
Ah good to know. Just got a new chalice and mycedium frag and wondered if they could go next to the hollywood stunner! Thank you

The pectinia is not a chalice but I've heard chalice can have nasty sweepers also. Chalice are one I have not had luck keeping

On a frag rack I put on one side a wilsoni frag and the other end an acan frag

And the next day the acan was totally beat up.

Some corals have insane sweeper or mesenterial filaments reach
