Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving,
I hope this question wasn't already asked and if so I apologize. I want to know if there is anything on the market that would allow me to turn off the return pump for an hour when I am feeding the tank. I am looking for some type of timer (like the one used for your bathroom vent) so I can feed the corals in the am before I go to work. That way the power would return to the pump after I left.

Do you do it everyday at the same time. If so just set it on a timer. Have it be off from say 7 am to 8 am or what ever your scedule is.

Aquarium controllers or the new DC pumps that all come with a feed timer.
I for a fact never turn my pumps off or skimmer when I feed.
Fish need to stay active and swim for the food, like in nature.

Or a apex but that's big dollars for what you want. But if you want one go for it.

My pumps in the tank are left on but I don't leave the return pump on because the food gets sacked into the refugium and it causes nitrate problems for me. I will check into your suggestion. Tks

Standby on my RKE controller is what I use. I kill the return pump because it is silly to pump food into the sump.
