diatom or dino?

what kind of algae is this? i thought it was diatom because when i blow it off it turns to dust, but it’s started it look stringy recently

By the look of the rocks, this seems to be a very newly setup tank. If it's within the first several months of being setup, then odds are extremely high that this is diatoms. But, a microscope pic would definitely identify the problem.

the tank itself is about 5 months old, these are just new rocks i added yesterday. but i do not have a microscope to get a better look at what these are.
