Hello all, please take a look at the following three videos and tell me what you think. This is a very new tank.

What is this stringy algae on this frag plug? Should I scrape it off? The gsp doesn't seem to care.

Are these diatoms? They don't really tendril, and when the flow is off, it looks more like a puffy cloud that suspends in the water. I know there are some diatom on the glass, as when I clean it off it comes off like a rusty powder.

Hopefully not dinos?

Thanks!

Ah, the classic dino/cyanno ID question. Harmless part of the "ugly stage:
Thanks for answering, I don’t care so much about diatoms and will let them run their course until the silica is expended.

Dino’s scare me, haven’t had any snails die yet so that’s a good sign. Thanks for entertaining my questions!
