Hey,

For the past 2 weeks I’ve been having some green algae on my rocks and sand bed that is easily blown off. Having to blow off the rocks everyday it seems and it keeps coming back. Sands not super stringy but it is green and unsightly. Don’t think it’s regular diatoms. Tested my tank and phos is .12 and nitrates somehow went to 0 and I’ve been trying to get them up. Only run filter floss in the tank too, no skimmer, cheato, or anything else. Some advice or help would be great. Couldn’t get good algae at the time to put under microscope but this is what I got below.

Have you tried any sand sifters? They can make a lot of difference.
I have some nasssarius snails but they are babies. I need to get some bigger ones and maybe a conch?

I do have trochus cerith and astrea and a couple emeralds.
