Curious, does anybody ever experience dino or algae blooms after feeding reef roids or RED SEA AB+?

It's bit frustrating because i get a breakout the day after but the good news is I can control and knock it back with my UV. I think I'm going to just stop dosing this stuff altogether.

Ugh!

Those are not uncommon issues with both Reef Roids and Red Sea AB+. Both products are widely used. You may want to consider using less. Benepets is an alternative to Reef Roids which supposedly has lower likelihood to spike nutrient levels.

I use very little because I know this will induce a Dino response. Luckily I removed my sand bed awhile back so the battle is pretty easy. In theory, we don’t need to add these extra supplements it’s just an added treat for the corals right!

I have been direct feeding AB+ to my corals with a pipette every couple days and that has helped me control algae blooms. When I broadcast fed with it, I definitely had more algae growth.
